want to stay in a cheap pension, the per person cost of renting an apartment
is often better value than other forms of accommodation. This is moreso
the case if your vacation is longer or if you're on a business trip.
- It's more central! While Madrid has many hotels, most of the better
quality hotels are not so centrally-located. There are many excellent
apartment rentals available near the Retiro Park, the Prado and the
Plaza Mayor which will mean you're staying in the best areas.
- It's real! Experience the authentic Madrid by staying in the centre
of this lively city where you can mix with the unique locals. There's
no better way of getting a feel for the Spanish capital. You can engage
in a little people-watching from the luxury of your balcony.
- It's more independent! You won't be obliged to eat out at restaurants
every mealtime. Why not buy yourself a Spanish cookbook, go shopping
in the San Miguel market, just off the Plaza Mayor, and see if you can
pick up the flavours yourself? Many apartments will offer balconies

to say hello or goodbye to the hotel receptionist every time pass through
